We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Plumbing to join our team at Wilson Hospital in Mitcham. This is a mobile role covering various locations in Croydon, Twickenham, Wandsworth, and Richmond.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, relevant NHSPS Technical Guidance, Process and Procedures, Statutory Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice, and HTMs.
- Implement new or revised practices and policies within own work areas.
- Deliver scheduled, reactive, and remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk, or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring operational standards are maintained.
- Perform tasks such as fault finding, minor repairs, or installations, and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments.
- Assess problems to determine the best course of action, including complex technical issues, and communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
- Maintain effective site log books at all NHS premises where required, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Qualifications: At least one of the following - BTEC City & Guilds plus relevant experience and training, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent, or formal apprenticeship or craft-trained equivalent.
- Additional Requirements: Driving license is essential, must be comfortable using technological devices to log jobs, on-call availability, desirable to have industry experience, and ability to work alone or as part of a wider team.
- On-call allowance (rota-dependent)
