Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum NHS Consultant to join our Community Child Health team in NHS Tayside. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children and young people in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist medical care to children and young people in the community, including neuro-developmental assessments and care for children with complex needs.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, and social workers, to ensure seamless care for our patients.
  • Participate in regional and national managed clinical networks to maintain specialist interests and contribute to the development of best practice in community child health.
  • Contribute to the teaching and training of undergraduate medical students and junior doctors.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the health and well-being of children and young people in the community.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK and registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Experience in community child health, including neuro-developmental assessments and care for children with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
