Job Description

**Job Title:** Teaching Assistant

**Job Type:** Temporary/Contract

**Location:** Redditch, Worcestershire

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to work with students with Autism and SEMH needs in Primary schools in Redditch. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students, teachers, and therapists to develop personalized support plans and implement strategies to de-escalate challenging situations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist teachers in developing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual students' abilities, learning styles, and needs.
  • Provide 1:1 and group learning support to students with additional needs.
  • Support students with SEMH needs, promoting their physical, social, and mental welfare in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • De-escalate challenging situations and promote a safe learning environment.

**Requirements:**

  • Level 3 qualified or minimum 6 months' experience in an educational establishment.
  • Calm, patient, and caring persona.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Experience in working with students with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Effective behavior management skills.
  • Effective communication with internal staff.
