Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Content Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing scientific content for various audiences, including pharmaceutical representatives, medical affairs, and healthcare professionals. You will work closely with our scientific services and editorial teams to ensure that our content is accurate, engaging, and meets the highest editorial standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality scientific content for various formats, including eLearning modules, video scripts, magazine articles, and slide presentations.
  • Conduct extensive literature reviews and develop content outlines and learning objectives based on high-level briefs.
  • Collaborate with our scientific services and editorial teams to ensure that our content is accurate, engaging, and meets the highest editorial standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of our content, ensuring that it is up-to-date and relevant to our target audiences.
  • Work closely with our clients to understand their needs and deliver content that meets their objectives.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to develop their skills and expertise.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Graduate degree (MS or higher) in a scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in medical/science writing and editorial roles within a scientific agency environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Proven ability to research, learn, and distill complex scientific information/data and communicate it clearly to the target audience.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with platforms in our development pipeline, such as InDesign and eLearning platforms.
  • Proven creativity (e.g., journalism, writing for a lay audience, infographic development).
  • Understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Experience in oncology, haematology, biomarkers, endocrinology/diabetes, cardiology, and immunology/infectious diseases.
