Job Opportunity for a Dedicated Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a vibrant and forward-thinking SEN School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to SEN pupils in a mainstream primary school setting.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, facilitating small group activities, and adapting teaching materials to meet individual needs.
  • Support the development of positive behavior management strategies and contribute to a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress, provide feedback, and record data to inform teaching strategies.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs and sports events, to foster student engagement and personal development.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject area, demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach, with a passion for education and a willingness to support student learning.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work across various subjects and support different teaching styles.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school environment.
  • A valid DBS registration or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
