Job Description

**Job Title:** Production Manager - Operations Lead

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and meeting production targets.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting production targets.
  • Lead and manage production teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards (BRC, HACCP) and maintain high-quality production standards.
  • Monitor and optimize production schedules to maximize output and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure the timely procurement of raw materials for production.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting employee training, engagement, and development.

**Requirements:**

  • Qualifications in operations, engineering, food science, or related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (BRC, HACCP) and experience in compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in process optimisation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to drive performance improvements.
  • Results-driven with a focus on efficiency, safety, and quality in all production processes.
