We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supportive Learning Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a Supportive Learning Assistant, you will work closely with a student in KS1 who requires additional support due to trauma. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the student's social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage a pupil with special educational needs, usually on a 1:1 basis
  • Take responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
  • Support the school team to provide a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for students to learn

Requirements:

  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks
  • Have a thorough understanding of supporting pupils with SEND
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
