Job Summary

We are seeking an Oracle Fusion Financial Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion in the following modules: Fusion General Ledger (GL) & Financial Accounting Hub (FAH).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Undertake detailed analysis on Vanilla IR products booked within Murex and provide expert guidance to both Technology and Finance on data flow, trade transformation, accounting processes required to ensure accurate accounting of P&L and balance sheet within Oracle Financial Accounting Hub and General Ledger systems.
  2. Ensure accounting is accurately captured and processed within Oracle Financial Accounting Hub & Oracle General Ledger ERP applications.
  3. Ensure data is accurately represented on outbound XML messages as well as end of day reporting extracts.
  4. Ensure trade events are captured and processed accurately and interpreted by the trade Subledger and general ledger.
  5. Advise on best practice approach on accounting methods for trade cashflows for settlement and valuations for P&L and Balance Sheet looking at accruals, MTM, additive vs reverse-replace etc.
  6. Ensure accounting adjustments can be processed either through trade tickets, or local Finance adjustments within the subledger or general ledger.
  7. Ensure financial reporting considerations/constraints are incorporated into the trade accounting interface design and construction.
  8. Work in a co-ordinated manner around go-live activities, ensuring services are transitioned into the live production environment in a manner which is compliant with technology policy and non-disruptive to the business.
  9. Ensuring due diligence is applied and the systems are rigorously tested prior to user acceptance testing.
  10. Work with the software vendor, raising tickets with any product defects.
  11. Highlight risks or concerns ensuring items are followed up or escalated appropriately.
Requirements
  1. Have extensive experience working with financial investment products including Vanilla IR.
  2. Have accounting qualifications (full or part qualified) which supports an understanding of technical accounting requirements on IFRS, UK-GAAP, etc.
  3. Understand the needs of a Finance organization and be comfortable around financial reporting disclosures, month-end processes, year-end P&L accounting, financial adjustments etc.
  4. Have experience of Subledger and General Ledger applications for financial accounting.
  5. Be flexible, particularly when working on rolling out system changes in non-business hours.
  6. Have experience working on documenting testing and be familiar with the various types of technology testing which needs to be undertaken to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose.
  7. Have experience of Oracle General Ledger.
