About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team at Dabster. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and performant mission-critical web applications using React and Node.js for front-end and back-end development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and develop scalable and performant web applications using React and Node.js.
  • Mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
  • Drive a culture of quality and innovation, advocating Extreme Programming ways of working.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating in Agile processes and code reviews.
  • Utilise strong debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both front-end and back-end systems.
  • Experience working on cloud platforms, with knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) being an advantage.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and solutions is highly desirable.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the product roadmap and development processes.
  • Champion continuous improvement, performance optimisation, and security throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a hands-on engineer with proficiency in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Experience in technical decision making guiding the team to propose solutions which implement standard mythologies so that a maintainable product is produced.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor other engineers.
  • Experience working in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Retail, or E-commerce industries is a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • You have a passion for automation tested code and setting high standards for code quality.
  • Be a keen team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change through innovation and collaboration.
