Head of Asset Management

At Mitie, we're committed to delivering exceptional work environments that help our customers thrive. As our Head of Asset Management, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities management services across the prison estate.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver and manage all FM service delivery across the prison estate, ensuring compliance with statutory, mandatory, and maintenance requirements.
- Operate, maintain, and manage facilities efficiently with minimal supervision, adhering to specified standards as determined by HMPPS.
- Oversee the operational delivery of all Property and Facilities Management Services, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, standards, legislation, and company policies.
- Manage risks within the contract, including performance standards, specifications, and whole life costs.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with all stakeholders, resolving issues where risks reside with G4S.
- Identify account development and improvement opportunities while minimizing financial risks to the contract.
- Manage HR issues, including recruitment, employee relations, staff development, and absence management, with support from HR representatives.
- Develop and manage the budget/forecast for your area, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining company assets throughout the contract's life.
- Experience managing teams and HR issues, including recruitment, employee relations, staff development, and absence management.
- Proven track record in building services maintenance, via apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- Health & Safety qualification, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Experience in both in-house and outsourced estates management service delivery, ensuring compliance.
- Effective communication skills at all levels, both verbally and in writing, including note-taking.
- Computer literacy and a strong team player with a 'can do' attitude.
