Transport Planner Role

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Sunblink Ltd-GRN. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of goods across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan daily work schedules and routes for drivers to ensure efficient delivery and collection of goods.
  • Accommodate additional customer orders on a daily basis, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage driver and vehicle scheduling to optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with legal, environmental, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance team to ensure vehicles are properly maintained.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transport planning, with a strong understanding of EU Tachograph Regulations and WTD.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of Ireland, with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with customers, drivers, and third parties.
