About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our bid and tender production team as Head of Bid Production. This is a permanent, full-time position that will play a critical role in driving the success of our business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the bid production team to ensure the delivery of high-quality bids and tenders that meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement bid production processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues to identify and secure new business opportunities and develop strategic growth plans.
  • Manage the consultancy budget for consultant bid writers and ensure that all bid submissions meet the required standards.
  • Lead multi-functional bid teams through the bid process to produce compelling solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Ensure that all bid submissions are compliant with internal governance processes and external customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including bid writers, project managers, and senior colleagues.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with bid submissions and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
Requirements
  • Educated to at least degree level or hold an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven track record of leading bids/tenders to Central and/or Local Government, particularly in skills, education, skills, justice, and employability markets.
  • Experience in reviewing/editing bids and coaching bid writers.
  • Significant experience of tender solution management, including solution planning and development, bid writing, process management, and governance approval.
  • Able to use standard MS Office products and CRM Systems.
