Job Description:

Inventum Group, on behalf of a prestigious global luxury brand, is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Accountant to manage Record to Report (RTR) tasks within their finance function. This role involves reconciliation, reporting, and compliance with Group Policies, with potential supervision of a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Reconcile and approve RTR balances and journal adjustments.
    • Prepare and review RTR reports for internal and external use.
    • Manage end-to-end processes and reporting for assigned areas.
    • Act as key contact for finance teams and auditors.
    • Address stakeholder queries and provide timely analysis.
    • Support and review work of direct reports, offering feedback.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting.
    • Work on some weekends/public holidays during reporting periods.
    • Identify and propose improvements in accounting processes.
    • Collaborate with process owners and managers for root cause analysis.
    • Seek and incorporate feedback from team members and customers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualification (studying towards or completed).
  • +3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with complex models.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems; SAP certification is a plus.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or multinational companies is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage stakeholder relationships.
