Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our team in a key role that will provide onsite support for desktop management, asset management, and physical support for other IT equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for desktop management, asset management, and physical support for other IT equipment
  • Assist remote support teams with software distribution and packaging, monitoring, and infrastructure services
  • Handle and prepare hardware, including desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level desktop and infrastructure support
  • Collect and provide input for improvements to IT services
  • Act as a local project coordinator for hardware and software updates and rollouts
  • Support other locations as appropriate, including offices and warehouses within the UK and Ireland
  • Participate in maintenance windows and on-call support
  • Update asset management records
  • Support the TechBar in the office on a rotational basis

Requirements

  • Advanced desktop usage, including VPN and Citrix
  • Knowledge of Apple Macs and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Strong knowledge of setting up PCs, including BIOS configuration, Microsoft operating systems, and connectivity
  • Good knowledge of common PC accessories and how to connect them
  • Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, SharePoint, Teams, Project, and Visio
  • Able to set up mobile devices, including iOS and Android devices
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure components
  • Basic server and network troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of file and print services
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of an IT Service Management application, such as Service Now
  • Change and Risk Management awareness
  • Basic knowledge of AV equipment, including meeting room equipment
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification
  • Teams Video Conferencing skills
  • WLAN and Wi-Fi knowledge
  • Good understanding of Apple equipment in a business environment
