Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our in-house Legal team at Keepmoat. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on a range of matters, including construction and commercial disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of legal matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and commercial agreements.
  • Use persuasion and influencing skills to secure strategic outcomes that are compliant with the law and further the strategic direction of the business.
  • Commission and manage the provision of external legal advice, ensuring that panel solicitors are provided with all necessary information to provide accurate and targeted advice.
  • Contribute to the development of best-in-class practice, policy, and procedures of the Legal and Compliance team.
  • Develop and deliver toolkits and legal awareness training on various issues to educate colleagues on the legal process.
  • Collaborate with project work groups to ensure projects align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • 2+ years post-qualified experience with substantial legal work experience in litigation and/or corporate and/or commercial work.
  • UK qualified and have the right to work in the UK, with ability to travel across the UK on occasion.
  • Familiarity with the property sector is an advantage but not essential.
