As an Adult Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, ASD, physical disabilities, challenging behaviors, acquired brain injuries, and psychological disorders. You will work in a variety of settings, including residential homes, supported living services, and community-based settings, to promote the independence and well-being of our service users.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building strong relationships with service users and colleagues
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for service users to live and work
- Assisting in the planning of recreational, social, and educational activities
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are kept
- Encouraging and facilitating autonomy, personal choice, and independence
- Safeguarding vulnerable adults and ensuring their safety and well-being
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a care or supporting role
- Ability to communicate effectively with service users and colleagues
