Vehicle Technician Job Description

At National Express, we are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team in Leicester. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our PCV vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake mechanical, electrical, and minor body repairs on our PCV vehicles.
  • Diagnose and investigate faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
  • Inspect vehicles to company standards and identify defects for rectification.
  • Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained in line with company standards.
  • Deliver coaching and training to team members to aid in their development.
Requirements:
  • IMI Level 3 Bus and Coach Engineering & Maintenance or equivalent.
  • IRTEC Vehicle Inspection and Service Maintenance Technician certification.
  • Proven experience in a large vehicle maintenance environment.
  • Full CAT D PCV licence or willingness to work towards.
