About the Role

Zebra People is a pioneering company in the field of sustainable building practices, leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize energy efficiency and decarbonization. We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our platform team, playing a key role in developing our technical leadership and product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable algorithms for quantitative evaluation of thermal images, recommendation engines, 3D mesh manipulation, and thermodynamic simulation.
  • Maintain and improve our data processing pipelines, integrating external data sources, and crafting intuitive interfaces for our clients.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure our solutions are scalable, reliable, and performant, with a focus on CI/CD practices.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with your work and our vision.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development, ideally in Python, but other languages are considered if you've tackled similar challenges.
  • Strong algorithm experience, from development to production, end-to-end testing, and CI/CD implementation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and tackle complex challenges head-on.
  • Experience with tools such as IES or EnergyPlus is a plus.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of up to £65,000, with some movement for the ideal candidate.
  • 25 days of paid time off each year, with a bonus week off between Christmas and New Year.
  • A 3% pension contribution, with plans to upgrade this upon securing more funding and issuing shares.
  • A hybrid working arrangement, with two days a week at our co-working space in London and flexible working hours to suit your needs.
