Position Overview
We are currently in search of a Senior Architectural Technician to deliver expert technical assistance on various projects from their initial stages through to completion. This role involves the creation of design concepts, technical drawings, and ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Principal Development Manager, you will be responsible for producing high-quality concept and technical drawings using Autocad and Revit. These drawings will be essential for planning, tendering, and construction across a diverse range of project types, including new builds, refurbishments, and groundworks.
You will oversee the change management processes within the organization to facilitate the ongoing evolution of specifications. Additionally, you will engage with external suppliers and consultants as directed by the Development Managers.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you should possess an HND or higher qualification in a building-related field and have a proven track record as an Architectural Technician within the UK.
As a proficient communicator, both verbally and in writing, you will demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Expertise in Autocad is essential, along with a solid understanding of Building Regulations and relevant building legislation, including British Standards. You should have experience managing planning applications and the capability to produce high-quality technical construction drawings. Familiarity with Revit is considered advantageous.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a hybrid work environment, allowing for a blend of home and office working. Following an initial onboarding period, you can expect to spend 1-2 days in the office each week, with the remainder of your time working remotely.
Willingness to travel within the UK and stay overnight as necessary is required.
