You will have primary responsibility for the creation of costed sales proposals for submission through the company's gate process ensuring on-time delivery to the customer. This is a highly networked role that requires the role holder to manage multiple projects simultaneously delivering to high standards under pressure and to challenging deadlines. You will have good project management skills, a sound grasp of relevant commercial and technical aspects, and the ability to manage without authority.

As a key member of the Sales and Marketing team at Rolls-Royce plc, you will work closely with colleagues to develop and execute sales strategies that drive business growth and revenue. You will be responsible for creating compelling proposals that showcase our company's capabilities and value proposition.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can bring a high level of expertise to this role. You will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Sales team in the initial Bid/No Bid review of all incoming enquiries.
  2. Load new opportunities into the CRM system and co-manage the updating and maintenance of the opportunity pipeline.
  3. Generate compliance matrices derived from the customer's initial enquiry by managing without authority virtual teams.
  4. Prepare and review costed proposals including cost sheets, commercial, and technical proposal documents against compliance matrices ensuring the customer's needs are understood and exceeded.
  5. Lead in the continued development of sales resources such as pre-gated proposal templates to ensure timely processing of bids through the business.
  6. Move out other duties in the Sales & Marketing department as directed.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering discipline or extensive experience in the marine industry.
  2. Good commercial and business acumen coupled with practical negotiating skills and conflict resolution.
  3. Essential proficient user of Microsoft Office 365 software.
  4. Broad knowledge of the Marine market. We welcome applications from people with a refugee background.
