About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Operator to join our team at Streamland Media. As a key member of our post-production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our picture services.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with production and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Offload media and files to central storage, ensuring efficient and secure data management.
- Read and understand complex workflows, and complete tasks including ingest, conversion, and labeling of rushes.
- Create and deliver viewing files and final deliverables, conforming to high standards.
- Provide first-line support for Avid Media Composer, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Manage media storage systems, including Nexis and Nearline, and archive/restoring assets from LTO tape.
- Setup and maintain edit suites to a high standard, ensuring a productive working environment.
- Deal with client queries efficiently, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional edit support role or post-production environment.
- Excellent working knowledge of Avid Media Composer or similar NLE.
- Good understanding of video formats, files, frame rates, and resolutions, and familiarity with working with different video codecs.
- Good IT skills, PC and Mac literate.
- Excellent attention to detail, with accurate data input and checking.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments.
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and solve problems.
- Desire to learn and interest in the post-production industry and technology.
