About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our pioneering team developing cutting-edge autonomous subsea robotics technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative software solutions that power our autonomous systems used in marine exploration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software solutions for subsea robotics, ensuring high-quality, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code.
  • Participate in field trials for subsea robotics systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Translate customer needs into practical, effective software applications, leveraging your expertise in robotics middleware and object-oriented programming languages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in C++ or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with robotics middleware, such as ROS or DDS, and familiarity with unit testing and continuous integration.
  • A public code portfolio, showcasing your expertise and passion for software development.
What We Offer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Piper Maddox, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the development of innovative autonomous subsea robotics technologies. We offer a competitive salary up to £90,000, equity, and benefits, as well as flexible working hours and remote working opportunities. There may also be opportunities for international travel to remote testing locations.
