About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warranty Material Digital Inspector to join our team at ECS Automotive | Setting the Standard. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating warranty services to our retailer network on behalf of Volkswagen Group.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly experienced professionals and work with prestigious brands to contribute to their relentless pursuit of quality and performance. As a Warranty Material Digital Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting parts to ensure that a positive manufacturing defect can be identified and that the rectification work has been carried out in a technically correct manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts to ensure that a positive manufacturing defect can be identified and that the rectification work has been carried out in a technically correct manner
  • Ensure identification codes are correctly identified and recorded
  • Confirm adherence with published policies
  • Develop desktop evaluation of warranty claims for financial and technical accuracy, repair quality, adherence to published policies, and monitor and report claiming behaviours
  • Engage with dealer network through all available communication methods to resolve queries and problems quickly
  • Support Authorised Repairers to adopt optimal behaviours when presenting Parts Checking Media and Warranty Claims
  • Accurately update records and databases
  • Work closely with stakeholders and management to ensure that K.P.I's are clearly understood and achieved
Requirements
  • Motor vehicle technical knowledge
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures linked to warranty and campaign repairs
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – written and verbal
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and web-based products)
  • Ability to work without supervision, both part of a team and independently when required
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work to targets and K.P.I's
Desirable Requirements
  • Automotive warranty specific experience at Dealer/Manufacturer level
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair techniques
  • Manufacturer/Dealer Aftersales experience
  • Motor industry specific qualifications (technical)
  • Previous automotive mechanical repairer experience
  • Familiarity with faulty parts and assessment of
