What We Do
As a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company complies with all aspects of NICEIC accreditation. You will communicate these requirements to our management team and site operations teams.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all required NICEIC certification is completed and issued in a timely manner, enabling project completion and final certification to be included in O&M manuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the role of 'Qualifying Supervisor' as defined by the NICEIC and liaise directly with the NICEIC, monitoring certification and compliance with all necessary regulations.
- Verify site electrical inspection and testing results in a timely manner to prevent project completion delays.
- Carry out regular site surveys on compliance and quality, inspecting electrical installations to ensure full compliance with IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 and NICEIC requirements and standards.
- Compile detailed reports on site surveys, ensuring any actions required are communicated and fully understood by the site team and contract manager.
- Inspect electrical certification issued by K&M engineers and other subcontractors to ensure compliance with BS7671 qualification and NICEIC standards.
- Ensure results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on appropriate certificates.
- Complete certificates on company software on completion of electrical installations or alterations.
- Be available for audits conducted by the NICEIC or annual assessments to ensure membership remains.
- Carry out and assist with any testing on site as required to enable and ensure full completion of electrical certification.
Requirements
- Qualified electrician with valid 2360 Part 1&2 / 2330 Level 2&3, including EAS approved craft qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprentice trained or equivalent acceptable qualification.
- IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition, BS 7671: 2018 C&G 2382-18 or later to include latest amendments.
- Electrical Inspection and Testing C&G 2391 or equivalent.
- Previous NICEIC QS experience.
- Excellent communicator with experience of working with staff and contractors, with the ability to prioritise work activities.
