Engineering Placement

We are offering a unique opportunity for an Undergraduate Engineer to join our team at AWE, a leading organization in nuclear warhead design and commissioning, civil and construction projects, and analytical modelling. This one-year placement will provide you with a chance to make a genuine contribution to keeping the UK safe and secure.

As an Undergraduate Engineer, you will be working on exciting projects across our engineering function, including multi-million pound civil and construction projects, analytical modelling, virtual reality testing, and additive manufacturing. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals on challenging problems and develop a work plan to track your progress and achieve your goals.

Depending on the team you are assigned to, you may have the opportunity to interact with UK and overseas partners and customers. You will also be part of a vibrant early careers community at AWE, where you can socialize with other undergraduate placement students and new graduates.

The Skills and Qualifications

Candidates will be studying for a degree within an engineering field, including Manufacturing, Mechanical, Design, Aerospace, Automotive, Chemical, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronic, Systems, Materials, Civil, and Nuclear Engineering.
