Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled VAT Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all VAT-related matters for our clients, including advisory and compliance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage VAT Compliance: Oversee and manage all VAT-related matters for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with the latest VAT regulations and legislation.
- Provide Expert Advice: Provide expert advice on VAT issues, including cross-border transactions, supply chain structuring, and VAT planning.
- Liaise with HMRC: Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, managing VAT audits and inspections.
- Review and Prepare VAT Returns: Review and prepare VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with VAT regulations.
- Identify VAT Savings: Identify opportunities for VAT savings and efficiency improvements for clients.
- Build Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Stay up to date with changes in VAT legislation and communicate these to clients and internal teams.
- Mentor and Develop: Mentor and develop junior members of the tax team, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong VAT Knowledge: Proven expertise in VAT compliance and advisory services.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for VAT savings and efficiency improvements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in VAT software and systems, with the ability to review and prepare VAT returns.
