Job Title: BIM Technician

We are seeking an experienced BIM Technician to join our growing electrical engineering design team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our CAD/Revit/BIM resources, ensuring consistent technical and drawing quality, and delivering drawings to agreed deadlines and BIM Execution plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project CAD/Revit 3D BIM drawing delivery, agree scope with the engineer, and carry out CAD/BIM drawing work.
  • Maintain CAD/BIM standards and standard drawing configurations.
  • Check regular media backup to ensure resilience of REVIT/CAD drawing data across projects.
  • Develop and maintain CAD layering standards/REVIT/CAD Library & BIM protocols.
  • Maintain hardware and software requirements, including disposables, for the CAD department.
  • Carry out Project Archiving on completed projects.
  • Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects.
  • Research and develop REVIT/BIM techniques and standards to keep ahead of industry standards and general innovation movements in the marketplace.
  • Project initiation, setting up, and establishing new projects with appropriate file structures and BIM standards.
  • Project delivery, management of modelling duties, coordinate modelling teams, and ensure integration of modelling information with other disciplines.
  • Production and management of drawn information in the appropriate format to meet project timescales.
  • Implement quality control and ensure adherence to standards with consistency of approach across REVIT output.
  • Support for tenders and proposals requiring digital information content.
