We are excited to be working with Qualitair Aviation Group, a Randstad Company on the recruitment of a Base Maintenance Check Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver allocated maintenance inputs, projects, and company initiatives to schedule, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Assist the Base Maintenance Management team as required, providing support and guidance to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead and manage a team of staff within their agreed area of responsibility, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Issue certificates of release to service for specific aircraft types, ensuring compliance with QA044 Staff Authorisation Document limitations.
- Maintain a log of progress against tasks, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Provide and deliver daily production briefings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Update senior management as required, providing timely and accurate information.
- Develop solutions to deliver maintenance to targets within budget constraints, demonstrating business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure a daily progress report is issued for the aircraft under maintenance, providing visibility and transparency.
- Conduct formal appraisals of hangar floor staff, advising the Head of Base Maintenance on potential for further training and individual development.
- Conduct DQS self-audit in line with base maintenance procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist with quality audit and support the implementation of robust closure plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Head of Base Maintenance with the creation and management of budgets as required, demonstrating financial acumen and analytical skills.
Requirements:
- Category B licensed engineers must hold C certification by aircraft type.
- Minimum of 5 years Base Maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 certifying engineer.
- Good working knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation.
- Flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment.
- Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills.
