Job Title: Matron for Emergency Medicine and Integrated Care

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and innovative Matron to lead our Emergency Medicine and Integrated Care Division. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and experience in our emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to nursing and midwifery staff in the emergency department.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience and outcomes in emergency medicine.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Lead the development and implementation of nursing and midwifery policies and procedures in emergency medicine.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and national standards for emergency care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trust's nursing and midwifery strategy.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing and midwifery staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality metrics and benchmarks.
Requirements:
  • Registered Adult Nurse with significant experience in emergency medicine.
  • Operational management experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and patient safety principles.
  • Experience in leading change and innovation in healthcare.
