Job Description

Role Overview:

As a key member of the JD Group team, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and storing merchandise in a timely and organized manner. Your primary objective will be to maximize store profitability by adhering to all security procedures related to store deliveries, while contributing to a successful store team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and book in store deliveries using delivery systems in place.
  • Handle deliveries on a daily basis, maintaining order and tidiness, avoiding damage and preventing stock loss.
  • Contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and managing the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with stockroom procedures in handling stock and ensure all product is priced correctly.
  • Ensure that products are accessible, constantly available, and properly distributed.
  • Assist in maintaining standards on the shop floor and replenish stock levels when needed, making sure the full-size range is on the shop floor where possible.
  • Deputize for other staff, work within departments, or carry out other duties as required.
  • Represent JD Sports in the most professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate confidently with colleagues and customers.

  • Strong organizational skills.
