- Support patients with feeding, preparing meals, and maintaining adequate oral fluid intake.
- Assist with toileting, escorting patients to and from the toilet, and maintaining cleanliness of patients' furniture.
- Participate in the care of terminally ill patients and assist with the performance of Last Offices.
- Deliver requests between departments, answer the telephone, and take messages as required.
- Assist with filing, completing records, and paperwork.
- Able to demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Describes their interest in caring for patients in a hospital.
- Experience in working as a Care Support Worker is desirable.
- Explains an understanding of HDFT's values.
