Security Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to provide a high level of security service to our clients in Uxbridge.

The primary objective of this role is to deliver an efficient and professional security service, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and presenting a smart, alert, visible, and commanding security presence at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols to maintain order and establish a visible presence
  • Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people into the property
  • Remove unauthorized individuals or trespassers from the area
  • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations
  • Regularly check surveillance cameras to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
  • Investigate individuals for suspicious activity or possessions
  • Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
  • Provide assistance to individuals in need
  • Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before the arrival of authorities
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a security officer or guard
  • SIA license
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
  • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
  • Registered as a security officer
  • High School diploma required
