A network of alternative provision schools is looking for motivated and committed Psychology graduates to become part of their dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs, including SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviors with confidence.
  • Utilize your psychological knowledge to address and accommodate the varied needs of students.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to create a nurturing atmosphere.
  • Assist in the development and execution of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Work collaboratively with educators, support personnel, and external organizations to provide comprehensive support.
  • Track and report on student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
  • A sincere interest in working with students who have special educational needs.
  • A solid understanding of SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other SEN conditions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to effectively manage and respond to challenging behaviors.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Prior experience in an educational environment or with SEN students.
  • Additional training or qualifications in special educational needs education.
  • Patience, resilience, and a caring disposition.
