Job Description

Ayesa - UK and Ireland is a leading engineering consultancy that provides innovative solutions for complex infrastructure projects. As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and analysis of various structures across a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design teams in the development of detailed design engineering solutions, drawings, and specifications for slope stability, earthworks, and retaining structures, particularly in the rail environment.
  • Design and analyze piling, piled walls, foundation, and retaining wall systems, as well as temporary works, soil nails, ground anchors, and site investigations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, contract documents, and fee estimates, ensuring compliance with relevant design codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design and deliver projects from conception to completion.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their sector and fostering enduring relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
  • Extensive experience in structural engineering design, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in managing design teams and delivering projects.
