The Joint Equipment Loan Service (JELS) is committed to delivering essential equipment to individuals with physical disabilities and health conditions, ensuring they receive the support they need to maintain their independence.
Do you excel in high-pressure environments, possess strong prioritization skills, and have a knack for problem-solving?
If so, the equipment you will handle plays a crucial role in facilitating hospital discharges and preventing unnecessary admissions, thereby enhancing the quality of life for service users in their home settings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering, fitting, and collecting a variety of daily living aids and medical equipment.
- Adhering to pre-arranged schedules and ensuring timely client appointments.
- Building effective relationships with clients and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery.
This position involves working primarily in the community, either independently or as part of a two-person team.
Are you capable of identifying and managing potential risks while adhering to established guidelines?
The role requires physical stamina, as manual handling is a key component of the job.
The ability to work autonomously while following approved procedures is essential, alongside the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team.
Familiarity with Occupational Therapy and Community Nursing equipment is advantageous, although comprehensive training will be provided.
