About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Services Manager to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our catering services team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our catering department, ensuring that we provide high-quality food and beverage services to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of catering staff, including supervisors and cooks, to ensure that all food and beverage services are delivered to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients and staff, while also ensuring that we meet our financial targets.
  • Oversee the ordering and inventory of food and beverages, ensuring that we have the necessary supplies to meet demand.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that our catering facilities are clean and well-maintained.
  • Work closely with our procurement team to negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensure that we are getting the best value for money.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, including regular feedback and evaluation of our services.
  • Collaborate with our clinical teams to ensure that our catering services are aligned with their needs and priorities.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds 706/1 706/2 or equivalent qualification in food safety and hygiene.
  • Level 3 Food Safety and Allergen certification.
  • Business Management level 3 qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of managing teams and delivering high-quality services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
