Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Electronics Specialist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a Senior Lead Technician, you will play a key role in the care and maintenance of a broad range of life support medical equipment.

The successful candidate will have a degree in electronic engineering and knowledge of medical electronics, procedures, and practice. You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining complex medical devices, inventory management, and providing technical support to users.

Main Duties

  • Repair and maintenance of complex medical devices
  • Inventory management using a database of over 50,000 assets
  • First line response to field breakdown and technical enquiries
  • Technical support and advice to users of medical therapeutic and diagnostic devices
  • Working with a team to manage workloads and meet performance targets

Leeds Teaching Hospitals is a large, multi-disciplinary Trust employing over 20,000 staff members. Our Clinical Engineering department is responsible for the management of an extensive range of highly specialist medical equipment and related services throughout the Trust.
