Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to join our team at Major Recruitment (IT & Digital). As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the operational team and ensuring the effective smooth running of all IT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the operational team to ensure the effective smooth running of all IT services.
  • Report directly into the Group IT Manager to ensure alignment with senior management team goals.
  • Supervise key business changes and support team members by solving technical issues.
  • Collaborate with all UK departments and the wider global business to build strong relationships and achieve realistic business goals.
  • Ensure IT governance is carried out, including system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
  • Provide guidance, technical coaching, training plans, and staff appraisals to the team.
  • Ensure company assets are maintained with the correct level of security.
  • Perform periodic risk assessments and initiate risk control strategies.
  • Provide a high-level of support and guidance to the team resolving complex issues at a senior level.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years commercial experience in a similar team lead or IT management position managing and overseeing the work of 4 direct reports.
  • Hands-on experience with IT networks such as IPv4, DHCP, R&S, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPNs.
  • Ability to prioritize and set goals for the team, ensuring these are aligned with the senior management team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products O365, AD, SQL, and Microsoft servers.
