Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Contracts Manager to join our team. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects ranging in value from £10,000 to over £1.5 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review job specifications and pricing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with design consultants to achieve cost-effective designs that meet client requirements.
- Procure materials and equipment competitively throughout the project lifecycle to maximize profitability.
- Source, manage, and oversee subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Monitor and update project schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Liaise with clients regularly to provide progress reports and address any concerns.
- Conduct monthly project valuations and invoicing to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage pricing for any contract variations or additional works to ensure profitability.
- Review project budgets to identify areas for cost savings and maximize profitability.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained on all sites to protect employees and clients.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including project management software.
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team to achieve project goals.
