About the Role

  • Lead the kitchen brigade and oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase the best of local Derbyshire produce
  • Collaborate with the head chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations and exceptional customer service
  • Recruit, train, and motivate a team of skilled chefs to achieve excellence in food preparation and presentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy gastro pub or restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Passion for using local and seasonal ingredients to create innovative and delicious dishes
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of quality in a fast-paced kitchen environment
