About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced External Audit Senior or External Audit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading audit assignments, managing client relationships, and overseeing junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage external audit assignments from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact throughout the audit process.
  3. Perform risk assessments, identify key audit risks, and ensure audit plans address these risks effectively.
  4. Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and clients.
  5. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit regulations.
  6. Manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met.
  7. Assist with business development activities and contribute to the growth of the audit function.
Requirements
  1. ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in external audit, ideally within a practice environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and IFRS/UK GAAP.
  4. Experience in managing audit teams and leading audit engagements.
  5. Proven ability to manage multiple audits and meet deadlines.
  6. Proficiency in audit software and accounting packages such as Xero, Sage, or similar.
