About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our after school initiative at a primary school in the Chichester area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and fun environment for children to explore, play, and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Safety and Wellbeing: Oversee the safety and wellbeing of 16 children as they participate in various activities.
  • Schedule Implementation: Implement the school's planned schedule, ensuring that each activity runs smoothly.
  • Nurturing Atmosphere: Create a nurturing atmosphere where children feel safe and supported.
  • Snack Preparation: Prepare and serve healthy snacks, considering children's dietary needs.
  • Positive Interactions: Encourage positive interactions among children, fostering a cooperative spirit.
Requirements
  • Experience Working with Children: Demonstrated experience working with children in environments like schools, nurseries, or sports clubs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and engagement skills.
  • Proactive Attitude: A proactive, positive attitude.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Transportation: Due to the school's location, having your own transport is advised.
  • Certifications: Pediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) and Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • DBS Check: A clear and current DBS check.
