Ilford, Greater London, United Kingdom NELFT North East London Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, organized, and proactive physiotherapist to join the Urgent Community Response Team at NELFT in a Band 7 capacity.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of professionals within a progressive and supportive environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced Band 7 physiotherapist eager to enhance their expertise in crisis intervention; prior experience in community settings is advantageous but not mandatory.

You will benefit from ongoing supervision, training, and support from highly skilled colleagues to meet your professional development needs while working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT). Opportunities for internal and external training are available as part of your continuous professional development (CPD).

Key Responsibilities

As a senior team member, your primary responsibility will be to provide in-person services across various boroughs, including conducting assessments, facilitating group education, and performing follow-up evaluations in accordance with national standards.

In your Band 7 role, you will also be expected to offer clinical education to students regularly and further enhance your leadership skills by supervising and appraising other team members.

You will be joining a well-established and supportive team of professionals.

What You Will Need to Join Our Team

  • Registered HCPC Physiotherapist with a minimum of 18 months of post-registration experience
  • Desirable experience in a community rapid response team
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients in crisis
  • Previous experience within the NHS
  • Ability to maintain clinical expertise through ongoing professional development and by fostering the growth of others
  • Evidence of participation in audit activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of addressing large groups effectively.

This is a full-time position, including weekend hours, with a negotiable timetable. The role encompasses both management and clinical duties, with opportunities for agile or home-based work.

About NELFT

At NELFT, we prioritize the proper onboarding and integration of new team members. All new hires will participate in a comprehensive induction program that includes mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. During this process, new employees will have the chance to meet with executive leadership, senior management, and attend various sessions focused on engagement, health, and wellbeing.

Probationary Period

This position is subject to a probationary period, with internal applicants exempt unless currently undergoing a probationary period or employed as bank staff.

High-Cost Area Supplement

This role includes a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436), pro-rated for part-time staff.

Application Guidelines

Applications for this position should be submitted by the candidate. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) programs in application submissions may result in rejection, as this document is a critical component of the assessment process. However, applicants may seek appropriate support for their applications if needed due to any declared disability.

Job Responsibilities

The Community Treatment Team is dedicated to providing a well-coordinated and high-quality service to patients in the surrounding areas, ensuring that the complex needs of the client group are met close to home. Therefore, being a car owner/driver or having access to a vehicle, along with a valid UK driving license, is essential (unless exempt under the Equality Act 2010).
