About the Role

Tiger Resourcing Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and delivering electrical design solutions across a diverse range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of AC and DC electrical systems for various markets, including those with stringent requirements such as defense.
  • Translate customer needs and specifications into detailed electrical designs that meet project objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall product design.
  • Conduct thorough safety assessments and simulations to guarantee compliance with relevant standards, such as IEC 62368.
  • Generate comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and technical reports.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record as an Electrical Design Engineer with extensive experience in diverse project environments.
  • In-depth understanding of AC and DC power systems, including low voltage DC power and communication circuits, and low and medium voltage AC power systems.
  • Expertise in electrical safety assessment methodologies and compliance standards (IEC 62368).
  • Proficiency in electrical drawing software, such as SolidWorks Electrical or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with BS EN Standards (e.g., 62368, Safety) and Military specifications (Def-Stan).
  • Knowledge of EMC and regulatory requirements (CE/UKCA).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standard or a process-driven methodology.
  • Experience in RF design and computing infrastructure.
