Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Payment Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing payments to suppliers, managing cash flows, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payments to suppliers in multiple currencies, including GBP and Euro.
  • Manage expense payments and provide weekly cash flow reports to finance managers.
  • Resolve payment queries and maintain accurate bank postings.
  • Perform petty cash auditing and reimbursement, as well as credit card reconciliation.
  • Initiate BACS payments from Oracle to Citibank in accordance with internal timetables.
  • Ensure adherence to SOX controls and internal payment policies.
  • Maintain good customer relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Investigate payments with scheduled payment holds and reconcile Direct Debit payments.
  • Extract data for SOX and audit purposes and liaise with internal and external auditors.

Requirements

  • Good general education level.
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of multiple currencies and bank accounts.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable ERP systems, such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and escalate supplier issues.
  • Competency in Microsoft packages, including Excel.
