Job Title: Power Plant Operations Manager

Smith and Reed is seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Operations Manager to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and uninterrupted running of the power plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all electrical, mechanical, and administrative activities required to maintain the power plant's operations.
  2. Prepare daily and weekly production reports and other management information.
  3. Identify and resolve errors and malfunctions in the controls and undertake corrective actions.
  4. Develop and implement work procedures and instructions.
  5. Manage the need for consumables and spare parts for the power plant.
  6. Ensure the machinery and equipment are periodically maintained and repaired.
  7. Implement and supervise occupational health and safety rules for all tasks and processes.
  8. Manage electricity generation in accordance with regulations and standards.
  9. Collaborate with all departments while managing the operations team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Degree in a suitable technical or engineering discipline.
  2. Ability to read and interpret process, mechanical, and electrical project drawings.
  3. Experience in fault resolution and troubleshooting.
  4. In-depth understanding and experience of Health & Safety and working within UK legislation.
  5. Strong team player with high accuracy and good time management skills.
  6. A full UK driving license.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in electricity generation facilities and a keen interest in renewable energy.
