E3 Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Director to assume Operations and Manufacturing responsibility for one of our key clients' operations in the Bletchley area.
The ideal candidate will have experience of taking manufacturing operations through to World Class standard within a fast-paced and high-volume manufacturing environment, where Health and Safety, Continuous Improvement, and lean manufacturing techniques are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- The strategic development of manufacturing operations across multiple manufacturing lines, driving the site towards World Class performance.
- The development and promotion of lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, VSM, TPM, and other best practices, across manufacturing operations.
- People Management, including the motivation and mentoring of managers to effectively problem-solve and develop their careers.
- The introduction of process and procedures across manufacturing lines to enhance manufacturing output and support the delivery of EBITDA objectives over the next 3 years.
- Leading the development of an agile, positive, and ambitious manufacturing function with the skills, resources, and capability to drive growth, development, and improved business performance.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a senior-level position, such as Operations Manager, Operations Director, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Factory Manager, or General Manager.
- Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, develop, and improve teams.
- Experience of taking manufacturing operations to World Class/Operational Excellence.
- Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, implementing continuous improvement tools and techniques, and problem-solving techniques.
- A seasoned manufacturing professional with a deep understanding of the journey to WCM or Operational Excellence, who can work closely with key members of production and maintenance teams.
- IOSH or Nebosh qualified in Health and Safety.
- Ideally degree-qualified or commensurate experience.
