Procurement Specialist

The Senior Buyer plays a pivotal role in the full 360 Supplier Management process, driving cost savings and delivering exceptional results. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:- Cost Savings: Develop and execute cost reduction strategies, collaborating with global and regional teams to achieve material cost reduction targets. Track and report accurate forecasts and actuals in Savings Tracker, ensuring supplier surcharge mechanisms are optimized.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Monitor supplier performance, risk assessments, and audit results, elevating issues for resolution. Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring compliance to KPIs and coordinating supplier selection and resource activities.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage supply agreements, driving improvements in suppliers' cost, delivery, quality, order lead time, payment cycles, technology, and risk mitigation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new programs, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and budget-aligned delivery.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects to meet timing and business needs
- Fundamental computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project)
- Experience of implementing Vendor Managed Inventory Solutions
- Able to work effectively in a team environment, maintaining confidentiality and using discretion
- Proven experience of using SAP, including raising schedule agreements and POs
- Honest with a high level of integrity
