Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:
The Leigh Academies Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their support team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the highest standards of education.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement structured learning activities and teaching programmes to support student learning and development.
- Provide feedback to students on their progress and achievement, helping them to realize their full potential.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that students feel valued and supported.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to address these.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
