Job Title: Windows Server Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

Hunter Bond is seeking a skilled Windows Server Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration and maintenance of Domain Services
  • Spearhead the implementation and support of cross-platform integrations
  • Undertake day-to-day maintenance of server estate
  • Deploy and configure MS Windows Server 2016 and 2019 across physical and virtual systems using our automated build process (MDT/VMware)
  • Architect, construct, and refine internal Windows automation systems and workflows
  • Ensure our server estate remains up-to-date with the latest OS patches, firmware, and driver stacks
  • Develop reusable modules with PowerShell and/or Python, integrating them with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins to automate testing and deployments
  • Enhance monitoring and visibility of our server estate through
  • Collaborate on the selection, design, and implementation of new system designs alongside key stakeholders, encompassing servers, data storage systems, and backup systems
  • Share the responsibility of weekend on-call rotation duties, embodying our team spirit and commitment to excellence

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment building/maintaining infrastructure
  • PowerShell/Ruby/Python
  • Familiarity with configuration management
  • Experience with application packaging and package management systems like SSCM
  • Proficiency in Windows cluster services and SQL server
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot Kerberos Authentication on IIS or other web server platforms
  • Experience implementing GPOs (Group Policy in Active Directory)
